The stuff I do outside of work.
A CV makes your life look linear - you can only do that in retrospect. Interesting people do other stuff, usually all at the same time.

INNOVATION & MAKING
Inside work I work on a number of creative innovation projects for Unilever. Outside work I'm a member of Innovation Social and The Friday Club. My current 'making' projects are a sentient building for Havas and an AI bot for cyclists.
Using data and algorithms to make art. The edition shown here was created after the Brexit vote and represents the colours of Europe deeply and randomly overlayed on each other to form the diversity of Britain.
LIFE DRAWING FOR COPYWRITERS
Started 'Nibs Out' with a band of grizzley old creative hacks. To our knowledge the first ever life drawing classes for copywriters. Armed with only an aisle and a charcoal pencil writers go through ten rounds of 1-5 minutes, with different stimulus and tasks: from haiku, limerick, biography, sonnet, tweet, best metaphor, deliberately bad simile, internal monologue, slogan and extremely short story…
I've been running the young creatives part of the Cannt Festival since it's inception. Fun events that match young creatives with creative directors. Through this I've placed lots of young teams into agencies and got them their first proper paid jobs.
Created the high performance cycling brand Velopro. Opened a physical cycling shop and a web shop. Designed and built the shop interior. Created and sponsored a racing team. Created the first real-to-virtual race using Strava. Loved it, unlikely to repeat it.
I do a lot of creative mentoring. After a trip to Hyper Island in Stockholm I returned to our agency with eight students in tow. A week later they'd worked on two live briefs, changed the agency process, got the industry press talking and showed us how to have a good time on our own turf.
