Howies - The Do Lectures

The Howies DO lectures are all about getting a handful of speakers together in one place, in the hope that they may inspire you to go DO something. To give you the tools and the desire to change the things you care about.
The brief from Howies was interesting - From a small campsite in wales with twenty inspirational speakers and just sixty attendees, please help us to influence one hundred thousand people within a year.
So far the DO Lectures have reached over 100,000 individuals around the World. From 4,227 Cities, in 135 countries across six continents. On launch, the lectures reached No 2 in the itunes download chart.
In 2008 64% of people discovered the lectures through social networking sites. Nearly 11% arrived from search engines and when they got there they spent, on average, over three minutes on the site. A third of them came back again.
Up to the DO Lectures 2009 the streamed lectures have been viewed over 500,000 times, both on the DO website, and in embeds. This excludes those on Vimeo and itunes.
Because DO is about DOing stuff rather than just talking about it, and, to tap into the wealth of knowledge of all the people speaking at the events, we created Brainfood, a place where the speakers could talk about the things that have inspired them; a bible for Doing. Who better to point you in the right direction, than those who have their hearts closest to the cause.
